I am Dr. Mohammad Mozibur Rahman is currently working as an Associate Professor of Neonatology and Head of SCANU & NICU ICMH, Matuail, Dhaka, Bangladesh. I’ve completed my graduation from Sylhet M A G Osmani Medical College under the Chittagong University, diploma in child health (DCH) from Dhaka University. Fellowship in neonatology from BCPS (Bangladesh College of Physicians & Surgeons) of Bangladesh. I have taken advanced training on Paediatric and Neonatal Life Support from Sri Lanka. I am a Member of the Skill Development Sub Committee of Bangladesh College of Surgeons and Physicians (BCPS). I am a member of the board of directors of Global Newborn Society (GNS) (www.globalnewbornsociety.org). I am a member of the national pool for the quality improvement committee in Bangladesh and a teacher, supervisor, and examiner of postgraduate students. I’m a master trainer of all newborn trainings in Bangladesh and published 29 articles in reputed national and international journals. For recognition of my hard work KMC corner of the institute of child & mother health where I work, recognized as a center of excellence in 2018. I’m an editorial board member of the Journal of Global Newborn Society “NEWBORN” and ICMH Journal. I am the founder Chairman of Royal Children and Mothers Hospital Ltd in Dhaka, Bangladesh. I have vast experience in managing critically ill newborn at home and abroad. In Bangladesh, only fourteen people completed the highest neonatal degree FCPS (Fellowship of College of Physicians and Surgeons) I’m one of them. I’m also the organizer and speaker of International Neonatology conferences.

  • Associate Professor of Neonatology and Head of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit & Special Care Newborn Units (NICU/ SCANU) of Institute of Child and Mother Health (ICMH) from 20th February, 2015 to till date.
  • Registrar Paediatrics at ICMH from 20th September 2006 to 19th February 2015.
  • Assistant Registrar Paediatrics at ICMH from 25 August, 2005 to 19th September, 2006.
  • Ex CC Member Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA).
  • Ex Cultural Secretary Bangladesh Paediartic Association (BPA).
  • Ex EC Member Bangladesh Neonatal Forum.
  • Life Member of Bangladesh Medical Association.

Experience

  • Consulting both in- patient and outpatient department of Pediatrics, ICMH.
  • Teaching post gradates students like DCH, DGO students and honorary doctor’s courses in Pediatrics.
  • Facilitating different national training programs of Government and NGO which includes ‘Essential new-born care IMCI, Child Health Care & Early Childhood Development, Community IMCI, HBB, ETAT, ENC, HIV etc.
